Well, with all the snow we've been getting up here, tires have been selling out quickly. I couldn't find a 215/50/17 so I got some 215/45/17's. Now the only problem is finding some 17" rims to fit these.

I'm trying to source everything myself. All the tire shops around here seem to be sold out of any winter rims and tires that would fit my car. I have tires but I'm still looking for rims.

Unfortunately the speed6 can only use a 17" rim as the smallest size.

Everytime I call a tire place they ask what size of steel rims I want for winter. Can anyone tell me what offset they are using for their 17" winter rims? Thanks, Mark

I did a little more research and the 215/55/17 should have no problem fitting. There is a slight speedometer difference of less than 3 km/h when going to this size.

Really, I learned more from this thread than you did apparently. Now run off and buy your 16's.
