yeah, last time i was at lowe's, in the screw section they had a drawer of automotive connectors that had pins like that for different cars in it, however i didn't check for mazda pins. I bet they have some that would work though.

i don't think you tap into any wires under the dash, they have to be wired to the battery and ground just like stereo stuff

how do you remove the rear deck panel in a protege sedan? so far i've gotten the brake light out, and i popped out two of those pop cap clip things that were on the plastic behind the seats. If there is anything to do besides grab on to the edge and pull it up, let me know.

When you're mounting a sub in a box, does the back of it need to be sealed against the wood with caulk or something, or can you just bolt the speaker down against carpetting with no problems. My subs don't have a rubber gasket on the back of them, so it would just be metal on wood, or metal on...

which rear seat bolts? there are some in the far right and left corners, and then there is one on a bracket in approximately the middle of the back of the seats (where they are broken 2/3 to fold down) The middle bracket looks unpainted, while the ones in the corners are black (painted? dunno.)...
