Through our partner ship with BEGi, we'll be sending a willing volunteer to thier shop in texas to fit and tune a Vishnu XEDE engine management system to the Mazdaspeed6. ProtegeGarage will be the exclusive reseller for XEDE systems on these cars and the results are promising.

Fitted to a Mazdaspeed3, this system gave the car a whopping 290whp and 310lb/ft of torque on the dyno with no other modifications. The system has been used to great effect on the Mazdaspeed Miata and we expect the same from this system on the MS3/MS6. From BEGi's miata features and descriptions;

The XEDE is the most user friendly engine management available! It plugs directly into the stock ECU and requires no tuning. The XEDE comes pre-programmed for your application.

How does the XEDE work?
It is wired into a wire harness that plugs into the stock ECU. It intercepts signals to the ECU. For example, by intercepting the crank signal, the

XEDE can advance or retard timing. By intercepting the load signal, the XEDE can make fuel mixtures richer or leaner. It remains under closed loop during idle, and goes open loop under boost. The MazdaSpeed Miata (MSM) XEDE also allows the user to control the boost levels.

Installing the

This is probably the easiest aftermarket performance part you will ever install on your car! The hardest part is installing injectors, and that too is not difficult. Once the injectors are installed, plug the

XEDE & wire harness into the stock ECU. Turn the key on. Turn the Key off. Start the engine. Rev the engine, watch the LED light turn green, and you are ready to drive. The MSM requires a new wire installed to the boost solonoid. It's so simple, even Stephanie could install the injectors and figure it out! No broken nails either.

Practical Information...
What is more practical than get in and drive? Forget tuning the car every time you drive it or the weather changes. Short of getting struck by lightening, the

XEDE won't fail. It will be the most reliable piece of hardware on your car.

The

XEDE cannot change the rev limiter on any Miata.

The

Dying to see the dynos to see where all the power is being made.

Any idea of the cost yet?

It will be at least $800, but probably $950-$1150.

I don't think the dyno sheet will be up for a few days.

The stock numbers vs XEDE numbers for Speed3:

Same dyno

Stock: 240whp, 280lbft of torque
w/Xede: 290whp, 315lbft of torque

what exactly was altered to get those types of gains? I doubt it was done on fuel control alone. Does this tuner remove the factory boost limiter? If so the gains are much more understandable.

I'm very interested.

I am a newbie here, so bear with me. What is the gain of doing this if you are going to trigger the CEL? If the CEL is triggered you will not be able to pass emissions and if you take it to the dealer to be reset or work done it will void you warranty correct?

What is the advantage to this over the accessport that Cobb Tuning is releasing in the spring that will not trigger the CEL?

I might be confused, someone shed some light for me.

Any chance of this little piece of neat-ness working on other 6's?? Such as the 3.0-liter V6???

Im with you on this one....

the accessport will not have the range of tunability or functionality of the XEDE in our opinion - more on that later. also, we are working to see that it does not on the ms3 and ms6 trigger a CEL

sounds great. I can't wait to see what comes of this and the FMIC that you are working on. Keep up the good work. :)
