What did you pay for your CX-5?

Hi,

I notice that many people in US pays below invoice.

Anybody here from Texas pay below invoice?
We are in Austin, TX and the Mazda dealers are owned by the same owner.

Also, for people who use Costco program, how does it work? Just go to participated dealer and they will tell you the Costco pricing?

Thanks.

Costco will give a better price, but it's not good enough. No negotiation at the dealership.
Try different city. When we purchased my wife's CRV, we traveled some distance to get a better deal.

My wife and I just bought a used 2013 sport with a manual trans for 18600 with tax and everything... Got a good deal on it and we really like it!!

Does this include destination?

I bought mine about a week and a half ago. It's a 2014 Pearl White AWD GT with Tech Package and it also has the roof rack and retractable cargo cover. The sticker showed over $32,000 but I paid appx $30,500. I financed $32,800 including tax and $151 negative equity from my trade.

Hi cjecpa,

Just be careful about the e-price, it includes all the rebates promotions they currently have. I just called them and since I don't qualify, the price was about $1,500 more expensive. and does not include destination charge.

It's tricky wording for the disclaimer to get you into the dealership to play games with the numbers.

Called a few dealership and one of them said there's currently a $800 dealer incentive going on. Probably to start clearing out the 2014 models.

Excellent! That is what I'm looking for, either new or used. May we ask how many miles on the odometer when purchased?

I used costco auto, and it was something like below $1500 invoice if I had used finance service other than Mazda's 0.9%. The email reply said "in lieu of mazda finance". I didn't know what that meant until I was talking with the dealer.

Before all this, I tried negotiating through internet quote but none (out of three) of the dealers were willing to go to an acceptable price. I got tired and tried costco auto and was surprised how easy it was and with good pricing too. No haggle at all.

2014 GT AWD, no tech, $30215 msrp, $29114 invoice, $28288 paid ($826 Below invoice, no tax in OR) in end of December 2013. By the way this was the price one of the internet sales rep (before I used costco auto) also quoted me after several haggling over the email. So I think it's worth using costco if you don't want to waste too much time, and pay reasonably but it won't be the best deal. As a bonus, I also got a $50 coupon (can be used to buy parts) for doing a survey for costco auto.

Next time I purchase a car, if I have time, I would first try costco pricing, use that as a "good price", then try internet quotes to several dealers.

edit:
To use costco auto, you have to go to costcoauto.com and create a ID and start from there. The dealer will contact you through email.

I've been doing regular searches on autotrader.com and noticed mrsp rebates ranging from $750-$1400 on Touring models with some options. Seems reflex blue models are getting the rebates. Must be slow moving color. I'm sure these discounts will rise to $2000 range as the 2015 models are announced in next 2-3 weeks.

I am looking at a "used" FWD 2014 Touring never registered with 1000 miles on it from reputable Used car dealer who sells ow mileage late model luxury cars as well as SUVs.. Touring package with Moon roof/Bose/ in White Mica with Katskin leather seats for $23900 OTD
27K MSRP. Waiting to hear from only local dealer on a price for a new one (although it will be without the leather) I don't see the value in the GT at all. I drive an Infiniti now and won;t miss dual climate, heated mirrors, seats and auto headlights.

I got my 2014 Touring AWD with Moon Roof and Bose for about $500 under invoice - $26,618 plus the .9% financing. Hopefully that is a decent price.

Just had to pull out my original sales invoice for something so I have the exact figure now. I paid $30,190 for a 2014 AWD CX-5 Grand Touring with Tech Package in white pearl mica. I also have the roof rack and the retractable cargo cover, but didn't get charged for those. I had originally negotiated a price of $29,990 but the one the dealer was able to locate was white so I had to pay for the $200 option. At least I didn't get charged for the roof and cargo cover because that would have been an extra $450. :)

I bought my 2014.5 Mazda CX-5 Touring AWD exactly 30 days ago for $24,860 + tax. It is the Liquid Silver Metallic color and so far... it is enjoyable to drive.

That is a great price. I really wanted the moon roof so I had to spend a bit more. I am glad your liking your new ride! I almost went with the 2014 Forester but was scared away by the oil consumption issue they seem to have from day 1.
