It has a ring worn around it where the throwout bearing rides. The dealership said the ring isn't supposed to be there...do you know if it is?

I've been running 13psi of boost for about 7,000 miles now with no problems. Same with me, shortly after washing my car the entire rear gets covered with black soot all the way up to the spoiler. I'm running 3" catless pipes. I'd have to say I'm also running extremely rich.
