Any issues with that intake manifold? I just had the CEL go for the open/closed stuck valve. guess the ol screw fell out of the butterit. I need to remove it this weekend and see whats up. Possibly interested in the Intake Manifold if no one has claimed it.

I read others with similar issues and It seams like its the coils. I will try that but now I wonder if stupid autozone has the right coils for it as they state I need 4 when I only have 2.

    misfire issues

No I typically don't drive hard as my 5yo son is usually with me in the car. It basically happened on my way back from the grocery store. I hope I don't need a new timing belt :( according to the service manual that due for a change but boy that is pricey. Thats a 750 dollar job at mazda and...

    misfire issues

I have been throwing a code that states I have Random Multiple Cylinder Misfires occurring. Car runs like crap so I am not running it. I checked the spark plugs..not that great but I have seen worse. I am replacing them. I am also going to replace the coils but autozone states I have 4...

    bah, what now.

Could this be my MAF going out? My car today all the sudden started really struggling between 2k and up when i accelerate. It, at the same time, threw a CEL, which i will take up to autozone for the code tomorrow. I just hope she makes it there.

    Best way to get 10psi???

I got a replacement waste gate and now i boost about 9.7 all the time. I don't even use my Greddy profec other than as a boost gauge now. This makes me a little weary still and I am going to get my unichip tuned next weekend just to play it safe. To echo everyone else... I would not mess...

    Weapon*R Secret Weapon Intake

I picked up this intake and like it. I got mine for $115 shipped and replaced the filter, couplers and worm clamps. I have no complaints otherwise. Its a nice product. I think you may have paid a tad much for it though.

    Thunder manifold installed

Nah. I live in Mt. Lookout so my son has a good school to go to and my car is a tad safer. Otherwise poor and in a tiny apt. for now. I would say it is definitely lighter than the stock one even if it does not add any power. That is one positive...i think.

    Thunder manifold installed

I graduated from Anderson... years ago (i feel old) and my parents still live there. I think i passed you on clough pike once or twice but on my bike as my car was out of commission. I am headed out to tdperformance to get a dyno tune in a couple weeks (they actually tune unichip :-] ) and am...

    Thunder manifold installed

I have a 2001 Suzuki bandit 600s (semi naked sport bike), jetted and dyno'd with midpipe and slip on. Fun bike :) and more comfortable than a crotch rocket, though it looks weird to me.. kind of like a praying mantis. The rx-7 is parked on the street with a flat front tire. That wont be on...

    Exhaust mani questions

I honestly don't know of an 'easy' way. I would do it the long and safe way personally. But make sure you have a day off (or two if your like me) and take your time. I would take the whole thing off personally and the radiator to prevent damage to it and basically do what you would do to...

    Thunder manifold installed

I feel you on that dent. My old neighbor kicked a nice dent just behind the rear passenger door. He thought he could take up 2 parking spots for his beloved Hummer (compensating for something i guess) and got pissed when i parked mine next to his without that extra room he demanded. What a...

    Thunder manifold installed

Some take off the radiator to give a little more clearance when removing from studs and to save the radiator from possible damage if bumped. I had changed the waste gate, coupler, clamps and finally became to darn cold outside to attempt this one, if it takes one guy an hour it takes me 1.5 -2...

    Thunder manifold installed

I live in an apartment and with the -6 deg weather lately and lack of space to work on it I did not want to mess with it. I have to get a storage unit to work on my rx-7 so I will have space soon but did not want to wait. Plus i was helping the economy :) forgot to ask what version you have...

    Thunder manifold installed

DSM: I notice a big difference but than again i have not driven the car for almost 6 months. I am very pleased, looks better than stock and half the weight of the stock one. Spools good. Very pleased. I live in Mt. lookout here in Cincy and see a few Blues around. But not very often. Maybe...

    Thunder manifold installed

Finally got my manifold installed. Here is a pic since you don't see many of them on here of the Thunder manifold. I ported it out nicely to match up with the new gasket and than had the guys at Turn In Concepts install it. Replaced the el cheapo couplers that came with original hard pipes too...
