    WTB: One 03.5 MSP Wheel

I'm looking for a single hyper-silver MSP wheel. The set I have is in good shape, but one of them has some serious curb rash and I'd like to replace it. If anybody has one, please contact me. Photos would help to show condition. Wheel doesnt need to be PERFECT, but I'm looking for B+...

    - Audi A6 Door Handles on a P5

I just think its funny that of all the things you could choose to improve on a protege, *door handles* is what jumped out at you first.

    your opinions on rim color

Gold for sure, definitely a darker shade than the chop you posted...that's like daisy yellow.

Tires for 17 x 7 Racing Hart wheels on stock suspension

If you're not going to lower it, 205/45 or 215/45 should be just fine for you.

    2003 Mazda Protege5 50mm offset vs. 38 offset?????

I think you're probably right JDM. It is the tires. they're actually 205/55. I put those tires back on a set of mazda wheels (OE mazda3 wheels +50) and they still rub a little. The car is lowered on eibachs, and i installed camber bolts to kick the wheels in, but i still have some rubs every...

    2003 Mazda Protege5 50mm offset vs. 38 offset?????

I have a set of Rota GT3's that are 16x7 with a +40 offset. They were very close to the outer fender lip, especially in the back. I had to roll the fenders and still had some rubbing going on over big bumps. I think that's why people say you need to go with +45 and higher. That will help give...

Tire sizes - Not really happy with the tires previous owner put on it.

The previous owner was attempting to go 'hellaflush'. In the car world, that means 'stretching tires' and getting 'flush' rims. Stretching tires involves buying wide wheels (8" or wider) and smaller width tires, so mounting them means you stretchthe sidewalls so they angle back toward the...

    mp3 ecu in 02 P5

I would do this mod, but with the price gap between regular and premium getting wider and wider, i don't think i could justify doing it. Last time i filled up, regular was $3.09, premium was $3.59. That's an extra $6-$7 bucks every fill up, which adds up.

Black or Mirrored Tint on a Red P5?

Azuelke is 100% right. Mirrored tint is played out. Like 1992 played out. I have to agree, if you can't tint the front windows at all, tinting the backs only won't look that much better. What state do you live in, OP?

Red Protege5 with black plasti-dip wheels - Pictures

Yeah, Jackie, two kinds of material. There are videos on YouTube of the plasticdip being peeled off. It peels off like a sticky rubbery decal. A spray paint drys harder. Maybe if you used a 'plastic-friendly' flexible spray paint on top of the coat of plastidip you might be able to remove it easier.

Red Protege5 with black plasti-dip wheels - Pictures

I think the coolest thing about the plastidip wheels is that you can just peel it off like a decal when you're tired of it and it doesnt hurt the original finish! I would love to do this, but not it black. i wish Plastidip had more spray color options, i'd love to do my factory rims in bronze.

Red Protege5 with black plasti-dip wheels - Pictures

Plasti-Dip the rear bumper...i did just that a few weekends ago. Make sure to mask very carefully, and use lots and lots of very light coats. It was still warm outside when i did mine, so it was drying pretty quickly. I put a very light coat on 10-15 minutes until i got complete coverage. It...

help srs light on after lowering spring install!

Maybe when you were wrestling your springs out or putting the new ones in you knocked some sort of brake sensor loose? Just a guess, i swapped out my springs recently and I remember that it took some elbow grease to get that hardware out.

RSX seats...has anybody swapped them into a Protege?

The fabricator only charged me $125, friend of a friend rate... These seats make me drive much faster. When you feel secure in your seat and you're not sliding around, you want to take those turns faster and sharper. I love it!
