Smallest rims you can fit on 03 ES for winter tires?

So I've tried looking through this protege faq, and I couldn't find the smallest tires tha can fit on an 03 ES all I know is that it's a 50mm offset. My friend is looking to buy steelies and winter tires, so I was wondering what the smallest wheel you can fit that'll clear the calipers (with...

WRX STi Or Mazdaspeed Protge ????????

Which is why back in the early 90s the Skyline GTR broke the record around some austrlian ciruit by like nearly 30 seconds, and after like 4 years it was BANNED from the racing circuit even AFTER limiting boost to 19 psi and having it carry a 160KG balissast, it was still concedered TOO fast...

WRX STi Or Mazdaspeed Protge ????????

It's been overdone...both have good strong points, based on individual prefrences.

WRX STi Or Mazdaspeed Protge ????????

werd....but lucky I live in Canada...and we got some CRAZY 15 year law, which states "Any car that's 15 years or older can be imported from anywhere across the world, free from passing emissions tests" And if you live in my provence, you can insure it as a RHD car, and saftey is like "it has a...

Err.. either my hks type 1 is off..or my tach is off

I know stock tachs are supposed to be off by a bit...but that's pretty major...so I'm not too sure...aftermarket tachs are supposed to be more accurate than stock ones.

    MSP/Spec-v - KEEP IT BRIEF!!!!

hmm...stock for stock, I think the 5-speed might be faster... reasons: Lighter, softer suspension allows for better launches on the street, smaller lighter rims, 5-speed vs 6-speed...

    MSP/Spec-v - KEEP IT BRIEF!!!!

Again, it always comes down to prefrence. I wouldn't of ever chosen a MSP because, I wanted a sunroof, side impact airbags, and a larger NA engine, I never plan to mod this car, since I'm gonna have a project car lined up soon. IT handles VERY well, and I would put it on par with the MSP, the...

    MSP/Spec-v - KEEP IT BRIEF!!!!

man this thread is long dead...but to make a short story simple. For the price of a Spec V w/o options, there is NOTHING that can touch it for the price, that's 20K CANADIAN. with options stock for stock Spec V vs MSP would be drivers race both autox + 1/4 mile, there are so many factors to...

Is there a LSD available for the Type S?

Maybe this is an obvious answer, since it IS a honda...but if there is which company makes it?

Jeezus look at this, a site where you can buy keys to break into any car.

looks like you should get a transponder for the MSP, I tested this out on my spec, I removed the chip from the key (it's just a little tab, and the chip like slides in) I could open the door, but the car wouldn't start heh.

    Stalling: HUGE Safety Concern

hopefully it won't take them 17 years to finally get a judge to order a recall :/

Jeezus look at this, a site where you can buy keys to break into any car.

Well hopefuly they won't get by the Club...unless if they are carrying around some crazy pair of cutting tools, or they got a master key for that as well... It's nice to know that they're talking about how to get past transponders. On a S2000 none the less. but as I've read up on other places...

Jeezus look at this, a site where you can buy keys to break into any car.

edited by Kooldino to prevent the further spreading of the madness These people should be shot, just read the forums, the site says they're ment for legal use...but obviously the forums arn't. I'm just glad nissan uses Transponder keys (ie imobilizer key system) so those won't do anything but...

    Stalling: HUGE Safety Concern

I don't think it would be warrented as a Lemon because Lemons are cars that break so many times within a certain amount of times. Each time being a diffrent case. But I do believe that this should be a major recall. Hell even sentras are getting recalled on stuff like pre-cats burning up...

    Stalling: HUGE Safety Concern

wtf that sounds fishy a fuel tank issue? and if it's happened on MX6s WTF mazda? The fuel tank maybe a cause, but I take alot of hard turns in my spec at really fast speeds, and my injectors don't get starved, neither do most cars. Hmmm...Good luck you guys, I'll be rooting for ya!

    Stalling: HUGE Safety Concern

What relevance would that have? Last time I checked hot air doesn't cause an engine to stall. Sounds bad. Get the stealership to fix it ASAP. Oh yea, although I don't own a MSP, I would like to try to help you get this fixed No. 5, that's not cool, just stalling around a corner :/ Maybe get...

suspension: put it in perspective for me

Having an non-independant suspension isn't all that bad. Look my car hangs with ITRs stock for stock, and I come very close to the handling of the MSPs. Having a rigid chassis, thick strut bars, good shocks, good dampeners, matched springs, good rubber, and anti-roll bars will make much more...

Leavin the MSP world and getting.......

guess what..the evo outhandles the MSP...the STI will too.... There are too many stuck up MSP owners who think their car is the fastest car on the planet. Yea you COULD mod up the MSP with the money you're saving over the EVO/STi...but it's still FWD, doesn't have the prestege of a EVO or Sti...

    MSP, Matrix, Celica..

If you want a celica GTS get the 2000+2001 ones...the one without the 7500 rpm fuel cut. The older ones had a 8500rpm fuel cut. Stock they run high 14s, throw on intake + exhaust and they do low 14s. Throw on a hotkins suspension kit, and they'll out handle anything on the road...all it needs...

car comparo: GTI, RSX Type-S, Mazdaspeed

ughhhhh the shifter on the WRX, don't get me started....that thing is even worse than the shifters on the 2002 spec Vs...so crappy... but damn honda still makes the best shifters :)
