Err.. either my hks type 1 is off..or my tach is off

my tach shows my rpm, at idle, right in the middle of the 0 and the 1k.

my hks tells me im idling at 900+

when my tach is at 3k, my hks is at like 3600.


???

I know stock tachs are supposed to be off by a bit...but that's pretty major...so I'm not too sure...aftermarket tachs are supposed to be more accurate than stock ones.

well i figured my stock was pretty accurate compared to the hks from this calculator:

anyone know why my hks is acting up? it was idling me at 600+ before, now its 900+ ?

you have to set the tach/speed to "learn"

mine HKS shows idle at 700rpm, which is exactly what it should be.

680-700..still when i ask for shift light/beep at 3k its about 100 off

yeah its not gonna be exact to the stock tach,...its gonna be a little off

the thing is..is the stock tach wrong, or is the digital hks wrong? thats my dilemma heh. you would think the analog would be right, but then again its analog and how tall you are also matters..so which do you think is correct?

i would go with the digital being more accurate.
