I've got about 40K on a set of Continental CrossContact UHP, in 255/55/18. They're great tires, and other than the fact that I skipped a couple of rotations, they wear very nicely. I'm looking at either another set of the Contis or going with General Grabber UHPs.

'02 ES. Wicked STOCK!!! I'm the sole owner, she had 49 miles on the odo when I drove her off the lot. There are a few scratches and dings, but I don't think she looks that bad for an 8 year-old car!

The warranty manual specifically states the EGR valve and solenoid are only covered for 24/24,000. So...any suggestions for fixing this on the cheap, or do I just bend over and pay?

I guess I could try, but I figured it was a "wear item" that wouldn't be covered under warranty.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention...37k miles, out of warranty.

My '07 CX-7 is throwing a CEL, so I took it to Auto Zone to have the code read. They said it was a blocked EGR valve. Before I spend $400 to replace the EGR, is it possible it could be some other portion of the EGR system? Or, is it possible to clean an EGR valve without replacing it? Thanks!

I've got about 5,000 miles on a new set of Continental CrossContact UHP in 255/55/18, and they are kick a$$ tires. Our CX-7 came with the Goodyears, and they were done after 25k. I would HIGHLY recommend the CrossContact UHP for this vehicle.

Did you test drive the car before you bought it? Have the recent recalls done, it will smooth out some of the lag issues. I have noticed the car seems easier to drive now.
