    Dunlop=Garbage??

My new Kuhmo's are W-rated, and their tread life rating is far better than the V-rated Dunlops. I swapped my OEM's out at 20k miles, mainly due to hydroplaning and crappy traction in anything other than a dry, smooth road. I love my new ASX's.

    mazdaspeed exhaust

My stock tires suck in rain too. I've hydroplaned at 60+ mph, and that's a scary feeling. I think I'm just going to go to Tirerack in South Bend and get some Kuhmo Ecsta AST's, or whatever they recommend. Back on topic, my Mazdaspeed exhaust arrives tomorrow according to the UPS tracking...

    mazdaspeed exhaust

We got 24" of mostly lake-effect snow here in Valpo on Sunday. I had the great joy of shoveling my driveway 4 times in 24 hours. I don't drive my P5 much in the snow, though, because the stock rubber sucks so bad and I haven't gotten snow tires yet.

    oil pressure

Yeah, once it warms up it falls considerably. At idle, once it's fully warmed up, the needle's around 5-12 psi.

    oil pressure

    That's funny, I run Mobil1 5w-30 w/ Mobil1 filter and I get 75psi on start and 85+ on cold revs.

    oil pressure

The sender can attach one of two ways. First is to thread it into the stock sender hole. This is to the left of the oil filter when you're looking up from below. You'll never get it out without first removing the filter, so it looks like you'll be doing an oil change. Another option is an...

    Guage Pod Installed!!

I have a gauge pod, and they're straight up and down. I don't have to "twist my head" any to read them.

    Guage Pod Installed!!

Why are they twisted like that? Pull the pod and straighten them out. Also, just out of curiousity, why'd you pick those two gauges. Why no oil pressure or temp or anything a little more vital?

For those of you that have racing pedals...

I got a set of Sparco Grip pedals off of eBay and I love them. They bolt on, so they're safe and secure. I paid about $50 for them.

So I want to get an Eibach Pro Kit...

I'll either go with the Tokico blues that are on the MP3, or get the Mazdaspeed's adjustables.

So I want to get an Eibach Pro Kit...

I have the ProKit and I love it. Though I haven't changed the struts yet, I do plan to do it sometime before I put 10,000 miles on the springs. However, you don't have to do it.

    oil filter size

Mobil 1 M1-110 on mine. It's actually for the Mazda V6's, but as I see it, I have more surface area on the filter element with the larger filter! The M1-108 is for the I4's.

    Starter Bypass Switch

yes, I have a kill switch in my P5. I added a new switch and hid it under the shift boot so that you have to push down in a certain spot on the boot to activate the switch. I made a word doc on how to do it if you want it. E-mail me at eric@betterhomeservice.com and I'll send it to you.

    Eibach's Installed

I found the problem. It turns out one of my swaybar endlinks wasn't tightened fully. Tightening it up resolved the prob!!!

    Eibach's Installed

I just installed my eibach's and I have the same noise. It looks like it could be where the rear stabilizer bar intersects the rearmost "A-rod" (I have no idea what it's called), but anyway, they look pretty close together and a bump may cause them to hit. Any thoughts?

6'2'', will I be comfortable in the MSP?

I'm 6'3", have a P5 and have plenty of room. The only car I've felt more comfortable in is the CR-V that I used to have.
