I'm going to do a flush and fill of my coolant this weekend. I'll run some Super Flush through it to see if it helps "fix" the thermostat. The OEM replacement I have looked at claims to be "self cleaning". Interesting. Odd thing is that according to my Scan Gauge II it has no issues warming up...

My 06 puts up the same code when I coast down a hill. Once the temps hits 154* the light comes on. I'm chaulking it up to a partially open thermostat that will not close all the way. It looks like a PITA to change...

Thought I'd share... I recently came across a phenomenal deal on some tires that are P225/50R17. I worried about them fitting in the wheel well properly and the possibility of rubbing. No such worries now. :) They fit perfectly and do not rub anywhere! They provide me a bit more ground...

My ScanGuage will not read my 5's tranny temp. :( rest assured though it doesn't exceed the coolant temp by more than 5-7* in the worst of conditions. A cooler is ALWAYS a good idea. You could probably get away with a two row cooler. Changing every 15K is total overkill. 30-50K is more...

The port is on the top inside part of the cubby that is to the lower left of the steering wheel.

I know my 07 would squeal occasionally when it was wet out. Seems the water splashed up on the belt. My 06 doesn't. If it doesn't make noise when its dry outside then I wouldn't worry too much about it. Or you could change the belt.
