Well...kinda...

Pretty neat idea from these folks.

I had this flashback:

gotta love that good ol' eastern european spirit of ingenuity. although the idea never quite caught on in the US, this style of car camping is actually pretty popular in europe.

and they would rather just get another loan they cant afford for that brand new huge rv to go "camping".

So when France kicked out all the Gypsies, they ended up in Russia?
So what happens when someone wets the bed? Is breakfast cancelled?
I like the 1-Lap-of-America Speed5 better.

All of a sudden the utility of my 5 seems to be under-utilized. It's cool that the guy got that fired up about making the 5 the ultimate utility vehicle. I like his spirit.

I think I'd rather stick with a tent. Doesn't look appealing when you're stuck in a thunderstorm.

Haven't been camping since I was a kid. We had a C-class motorhome that was ok, but the best time was with a 12-person 2-room tent. Add a screen room for your cooking/eating, and your all set. Never stayed at a place without an electrical outlet and water spigot, but it looks like he intended utlilities anyways with his little convection oven.

I think that's pretty cool, but then I've always wanted a VW Westfalia camper. I may build something similar, but with a more thorough design and execution.
