Thought I'd share...
I recently came across a phenomenal deal on some tires that are P225/50R17. I worried about them fitting in the wheel well properly and the possibility of rubbing.
No such worries now. They fit perfectly and do not rub anywhere! They provide me a bit more ground clearance and the additional sidewall height is welcome on the rougher roads here on the Big Island.
I really needed a bit more height due to my off camber driveway. Plus, I get tired of grinding my front end on things.
Street performance has not diminished in any noticeable way. But the ride sure is a LOT better!
