this might sound redneck but my experience with car covers is that they are overpriced and a pita to get on and off. a good sized tarp and some rocks works the best especially if you're going to be covering and uncovering every day.

a bad wheel bearing will make that noise and be more noticeable at different speeds. put it in neutral and rev to 3k and see what happens. my guess would also be bad motor mount(s) or wheel bearing.
