Winter Tires

Hi

I am new to this forum so I apologize in advance if I am asking something that has already been posted or dealt with.

My car is a Mazda 3 2006, GT, 17 inch rims.

Can I get snow tires & steel rims that are 16 inch?

I was looking at the Good Year Nordic at CanTire, Tire size 205/55 16 however I dont know if these are compatible with my car?

Hopefully my Mazda dealership can give me an honest answer, but just in case I dont get swindled into buying 17inch snow tires, I thought I would ask here!

Yes . . . just went through the same exercise for my '08 M3 Sport GT, that had 17" wheels !
(I'm using M5 16" alloys instead of steelies.)
The 16" steel rims will fit fine, and P205/55R16 CTC Nordics will work great ! (cool)
