What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I want to do the last picture as well, but I want to have the upper horizontal ridge chromed as well. Did you use plasti dip?

Yes.
That's a nice looking Evil M.
Do you have any pictures of it from further away?

Thank you

Dropped it off at the dealer this morning for oil change and all that. Also had the fuel filler recall dealt with, cowl cover buttoned down after it started rattling a bit. Had them take a look at some white fogginess inside the right side rear turn signal area....part ordered for that.

560+ mile road trip through Death Valley. 50 miles from home, kicked up a chunk of something and tore up the mud guard on the front of the left rear wheel well. Pulled the plastic fender arch off with it. Only damage looks to be a missing clip and some scrapes on the mud guard.

Looks to be a few bucks in parts, but in my anger and the darkness, I cannot see how to snap it all back together. Anybody seen instructions for replacing the plastic rear fender trim (over fender)? Gaffer tape is holding it all together for now.

Installed new fog light surrounds with LED lighting built in. Actually looks very sharp and the light is crisp white, and match my LED DRL bulb color very well (which is good because I run them as additional DRLs). Will get pics up one of these days, but it's a challenge because the DRL's turn off when in park or with the parking brake engaged.

You should start a new thread for your question.

Dipped my roof rails and wheels this weekend.

looks real good man! I did my roof, but may re-do it. One side came out fairly well, the other I oversprayed and had some dripping. With the arch of it not touching the table, it made a few drops taht hardened.

Got it all snapped back together the next morning. Total damage: one left side plastic "mud guard rivet". 78 cents online plus $7.95 shipping. Gonna head over to the dealer and order one this week. Gaffer tape is holding it on just fine for now.

Gaff tape FTW

Got mine a new friend. My fiancee has been thoroughly enjoying my CX-5 GT in Soul Red / Parchment, so as her lease was up on her Sonata we got her a Mazda 6 GT in the same color scheme (naughty). Picking it up this evening.

I normally would like to keep everything in stock. But I really hate both sides of rearview mirror image on CX-5 are blocked by the rear seat headrests. I went ahead purchased a pair of non-US spec, low-profile rear seat headrests at a Mazda dealer during the recent trip to Taipei. It cost me USD $96.52 for a pair. Once I got back and swapped them last weekend, I feel that the money was well spent! I'm very happy to have these low-profile headrests and now I can see a full view of the back window from rearview mirror!
