What have you done to your CX-5 today?

My new liquid silver mirror caps were delivered so I completed my passenger mirror install replacing the cracked one that I reused after replacing the mirror last weekend. Since I had a white burnished mark on the driver side I replaced that one as well. At least for now the car looks brand new again! This week I will be scheduling an oil change and having the dealer put on my new Michelin premier tires I bought from tire rack.

My 2016 Akera 2.2D. Soul Red as you can see. A bit overcast here today, tail end of a tropical cyclone still loitering around off the coast.

Washed, polished, waxed and protectant to exterior black plastic.

As you can see from the rear plate I am a keen fisherman.

I like the Meguiars car products. Ultimate wash, followed by Ultimate Polish, finished with Ultimate wax. I do the polish and wax on my cars about every 6 months. Quick wax in between.

"59GAB"=keen fisherman?????????????????? Or are you somehow referring to the trailer hitch?

Look more closely at the plate - not the numbers!

They are the "Hooked on fishing" series of personalised plates we can get here.

Fish image on line between the numbers and letters...

Oh, OK, Can't see it from here... LOL You had me scratching my head for a while... (scratch)

Figured I'd try a thread where everyone can post up what they did for their ride today.

I gave her a nice hand wash and sealed her with some JetSeal 109.

Dodo Juice is on deck...

I had a prospective buyer test drive it today.

I sure hope they take it so I can close on this 2017 CX-5

Good luck on selling your 2016 CX-5 so that you can get a new 2017 very soon! I was wondering is it worth to ship a new car from Colorado to Germany as I imagine shipping cost has to be expensive? And a German spec CX-5 can be an awesome experience with many nice features we can't have here in the US! :)

Equity in the '16CX5 covers shipping and the dealer installed accessories.

Why would I get a German spec CX-5? Then I couldn't bring it back to the states. [emoji12]

My mom brought a german spec 540 back to the states like 3 months within purchase

It's a prohibitively expensive process that generally goes beyond being worth it

I know this look might be played out in some places but I really like how this turned out personally....I think it looks so much better and much less like a 'mom-car' and I haven't seen any others in San Diego yet with this combo so I'm very happy with it.

Plasti dipped the wheels and roof rails...next step is a roof rack setup!

Do people actually use the roof rails? I see a lot of CX-5s with roof rails, but can't remember a time I've seen one with something on top that are using the roof rails. Mazda3 drivers on the other hand transport their bikes and kayaks on top of their cars.
