There are a few wheel size calculators on the internet. I personally like www.willtheyfit.com
the results are in! How does it look?

depends on the wide.
20x8.5 (255/45/20)
20x9.5 (255/45/20)
lowered with eibach, no rubbing issue
Hey, Quick question about your wheels.. What size wheels and offset and tyres to suit did you have fitted? Looking at upgrading my GT wheels to bigger rims. Thanks
you can run 245/45/20 or 255/45/20
I prefer 255/45/20
Will I notice anything going from a +45 offset down to a +35 offset?
When you go to wider wheels/tires and lower offsets, be prepared to either install mudguards or deal with a dirtier car. This is because the exposed tire treads will kick water/mud up the sides of the car more easily.
Also, moving to a wider wheel/tire may result in improved traction, but it will also likely result in more rolling resistance due to increased weight. These are very minor changes that are marginal for most, but it might be worth noting.
Thanks Sm1ke appreciate it, seems like the benefits outweigh the negatives.
Anyone have pics of this setup
19x8.5|5x114|45 19" 815kg CB73.1
Maybe with 255/50/19 tyres
And what do you think on this rim on a gen 1 cx5
reason I am asking is I don’t like the et45 offset and would have preferred et35-40.
1st one is an A-LINE Hostile MATTCHG Matt Grey
2nd A-Line Bombay
If it is for gen 1, I prefer A-line Bombay since the body of gen 1 is kind of bulk and fat. that is my prefer tho.
which one do you like the most?
Hi there...new to the forum. Here are a few in my stable...
Hey guys! I've just mounted these 20x8.5" Zito 935 Matt Gray wheels on my CX-5, wrapped in 255/45R20 Vredesteins. Initially I went with ET30 but they were sticking out quite a bit so I had them changed to ET40 and now they are pretty much flush (10mm made all the difference). The ride is noticeably firmer and the noise is also quite intrusive (even tho I chose the Vredesteins because they were advertised as being 70db instead of 72 or 73 as most other options in this size) and turning the wheel became slightly harder, especially at low speeds. So all in all a step back in comfort but damn, they look good.
Hey guys
need some advice it this will work.
my current setup is stock 19” with 235/55/19
I want to fit a rim that’s also 19”, but same tyres
New rim is 19” 9.5J ET 42
I’m not lowering the car and wanted to know if I can use the same 235 tyre.
will the 235/55/19 tyre fit ok on the 9.5J rim and secondly if I will experience any rubbing of some sorts when turning sharp or going over bumps.
