The tires are Falken Ziex 912s 225/40ZR18s. Next time I'll go wider since they look stretched over the 8" rims.

I am running 225/35/19 in an 8" rim on the front and there is no stretch on mine. I was told years ago by a sales rep for the shop I worked at that tire manufacturers have some discrepancies in the actual sizing. So one manufacturer might be a few under, while some are slightly over.

BTW the set up looks proper.

I looked up the actual tire tread width before deciding which performance all-season tire to buy from DTD. I originally wanted Falken Ziex 512s, but the spec sheet showed the tread width was only 7.7 inches while the Ziex 912 and 612 (DTD rebrand of 912s) were wider at 8.1 inches (the same tread width as the more aggressive FK452, and only 0.2" less than the Azenis RT615s).

You inspired me to look at the actual width of my tire according to the manufacturer and noticed that the 225/35/19 I am running is 8.94 inches wide. The 235/35 I am running rear is 9.37 inches wide. That's probably why there is no stretch on the 8" rim up front.

All depends on the width of the wheel too- remember all those questions I asked you in PM? I went ahead and grabbed an extra wheel and tire and made a bunch of measurements to prove/disprove the concept to myself. Post later...

Still need to put the window visors on. I got the same one as Turbohatch.... with the stupid screen-printed. I sanded them off, but then "gloss" doesn't match after sanding. So I tried some gloss clearcoat... not good enough. Then I tried some HIGH-glass clearcoat... close... but then it kinda wrinkled up probably coz the previous clearcoat wasn't dried enough after 2 days... blah blah arh so annoying... Anyway....
