Possible 6spd swap option!

Thats the only reason I've been looking into this so hard. My 1st BPT Escort I had literally 11 trans failures, all diff and case. My 2nd one I had 1 diff failure and 1 3rd gear failure.

I wanted to boost my KL MX6 bad, but It was on my mind like "Do you really wanna be popping trans. again?" So I did nothing.

I spoke with the JY that has the 09 trans. It's off the vehicle and on the shelf... Now just wait for the tax return and get started!
 
As far as bolting to the block its not at all, but Ive personally used an FS rear case half on a BP bell housing when in a pinch

What is to say that the 6 Speed isn't Weak as well
 
I would imagine the 6 speed would be stronger than the stock 5 speed, it's designed to handle at least 35hp or so more on a stock MZ6 vs. a stock Pro. I am curious if it can be upgraded.

ya PAR is def. going to be stronger and a good way to go if you have $$$$$$

never hurts to try something new that isnt going to cost you 5k plus for parts.

I guess we are using a different yard stick..

I am talking about a transmission that can handle 500+
 
and none of us are talking about that lol that was never once mentioned of having a trans to handle 500+

just talk about something different for the use of a tranny and possibly stronger
 
The G series can handle 300WHP Constantly. I had the original trans for over 100,000Km

what killed it was a bad shift..

So I guess my point is... Do the swap, Cool... But don't do it to "possibly" get a stronger trans... Do it so that you can have a 6 speed.
 
I would love to be able to do a 6speed swap also it would be a lot easier to find one of those transmmissions than one for ours plus have lower rpms on the highway and not spend 10k doing it. If this is possible it may make me rethink selling my car....
 
Yea I think a 6 speed MSP would be tits. Anybody with an aftermarket exhaust knows how bad your ears want to bleed after driving at highway speeds for extended periods of time. I went to my sister's place in Philly for new years, so that is almost a 2 hour drive and 95% of that was on the turnpike. Thank god for our half decent sound system.
 
cause they blew all their money trying to go rally racing and then ford took control when they were making terrible cars and lacked QC.
