evil's slow and steady build

That is glue flying. I wouldn't use a high-speed grinder like the one in the pic but a regular electric drill instead. That would heat up the paint pretty fast. I did this when I removed my spoiler and do it at work all the time when balancing high end wheels with adhesive weights. The pinstripe wheel takes old glue off with no side effects.

I read a couple forums about this and they said I could probably get one at advance auto or an auto body store. Around $25 sound right?

A pin stripe remover on a drill works pretty well for that sort of thing. It's pretty much a magic eraser and you should be able to get one at any auto body/parts store.

Looks like this and you won't risk messing up your paint.

I used one of these to remove my pin striping, works really well. just a little cleaning and waxing if you want after all done! :)

Unfortunately I have prom this weekend so all of my money is going towards that. This'll have to wait.

I found a picture of a protege that I want mine to look like. I don't know who owned it but I don't think its around any more. Does anyone know if we can cut out the stock grill insert instead of going for the DG motorsports model?

I second the question about cutting the stock grill. I was thinking the exact same thing but I don't want to waste time getting a spare grill and trying -.-

Mazdaspeed six breaks are bolt on with the rotors. And the rears you need the parking brake cables to go with. Wheels need to be no smaller than 17 to fit.

Good catch. I missed that you had posted in the regular protege lounge. You would need to do the five stud spindle conversion. You could than upgrade to mazdaspeed protege calipers and disk or go bigger to speed 6. My speed 6 calipers came from an 06 but I bead they were the same. Search the forum. I know there is a thread on the spindle wheel conversion.
