I know the classic question of mechanical vs electronic but I'm not too particular there. Overall any recommendations on some quality guages? When I say quality looking for good lighting, ease of reading and good accuracy.
 
I have no problem with AEM, but if you don't want to spend that much, my Autometer Phantom has been going strong since 2001 with no issues. It matches the cluster & lighting perfectly, and looks like it belongs in the car. Check em out if you feel like it.

For the controller, a Hallman MBC is also pretty much bulletproof. :)
 
+1 autometer. Nothing fancy but gets the job done tastefully.
I might uograde to an electric one though. Save all the plumbing.
