Another build thread...OMG!!

AC is busted. DOes that mean the driver side fan won't work without AC? And is the fan on the passenger side controlled by anything?

then what you should do is bridge both fans together and hook it up to the passanger side where you had the other fan working before.... the other is controller by tempture, after your car gets to specific tempt it'll turn on by itself and turn off when it cools down. to make sure the fans are working just hook it up to a constant power such as the battery and ground the other wire and it should turn on

I think your drivers side isn't working because you need a temp sensor (not the same as the thermostat). I was under the impression that the stock radiator temp sensor is built into the drivers fan assembly, but since you replaced the fans it doesn't have anything to activate it anymore. I know parts stores sell temp sensors/controllers for aftermarket fans. I am also in the process of installing slim fans and am using a separate temp sensor bought from the store. There are sensors with pre-set temps as well as adjustable to tell the controller when to turn on/off. The A/C side looks to be activated by the a/c switch so it doesn't need a sensor.

Driver's side fan = radiator fan. Passenger side = A/C fan.

I know on my stock MP3 ECU, the fans turn on when the coolant temp reaches 207 Fahrenheit, and turn off again when the temp drops below 200 Fahrenheit. Not sure how it works on the MSP.

Alright...going to revive this thread. Just redid the whole suspension and brakes. Mostly maintenance and replaced broken/worn parts with new/better ones.

Tokico blues
Ion Springs
EBC front dimpled/slotted rotors
Powerslot slotted rears
AXR clunk fix
EBC Green pads
New front lower control arms, ball joints, bushings
New splashshields, undertrays, and fender liners
New strut hats/tophats, thrust bearings, spring seats liners

Bump....subbing on an awesome build! Did you get the fans fixed buddha?

yes..fans have been fixed for a while now. Seperate circuit with a remote switch right beside the fog light switch in the cabin. I can turn the fans on even when the car is off. These things sound like a vacuum cleaner. I like how loud they are LOL.

Since this thread is lacking some pics...I haven't really been taking much..I'll post up some more.

This is the 2nd block I got for it. Thanks to a forum member from Edmonton! Thanks to Maxx for picking it up for me 3 hours away!

Head is getting rebuilt as we speak. Just waiting on the shims to come in.
It's getting new valve seals and shims. The springs are still good the shop says. There wasn't many miles on the head anyways.
Didn't need any machine work at all.

The FSZE intake and MSP exhaust cams are going in to it.

Adding to the shopping list.

Corksport 80mm exhaust
New gasket for the S & J pipe
Oil catch can
Walbro fuel pump

Also sending out my new oil pump to DocB Racing for the coating. I'll pass on the external rpv. I don't need more parts to break/tune/fool around with as this is a mild street driven build. Mild with the potential of going wild.

New HID kit is here.

Oh ya..here's another riddle for you guys.

When I turn on my wipers to intermittent, the car will stutter. So when the wiper turns on, car will stutter. Not everytime the wiper comes on though. I would say maybe every 3 or 5 wipes of the windshield, the car would stutter. It's like as if there are those power cuts at home when there's a big ass storm. Just for a split second, there's a hiccup.

Ok for comparison. Tokico HP/Ion springs. vs Stock/Ion springs

Back is lower by about 1 inch. Pinky gap.
No wheel gap up front.

Its so awesome to see built motors going into our cars. It really gives me hope in keeping mine.

Sorry haven't posted in a while. Been super busy with work and the photography business!!

I got my head back from the shop.

Fsze intake and exhaust cams
new seals
new shims
all cleaned and super nice....didn't wanna take it out of the bag because I don't want any particles sticking to the fresh lube.

Today I also put my order in for the M-Factory LSD and installation kit. Man that thing is an expensive piece of hardware..sigh

I'll also be sending my oil pump away tomorrow to have docB give it the "treatment".
