Looks like most of my parts have been ordered and one of the first packages have been shipped, so I decided to start my own thread here for the build. Maxx Mazda is going to do most of the work since he's got the space, tools, and know-how. I'll probably hover over him and take pictures and document as much of the process as possible while trying to learn at the same time. The car's currently parked for the winter since the 2nd rad that I got used broke. Grrr!!
Anyways..we found that my cylinder 2 compression is extremely low (probably piston rings are shot). The leakdown test was at 80% so that means it's burning some mad oil. So I was in search for a 2nd block or even motor. Viral_Override from E-town hooked me up w/ a 2nd almost complete motor. He had it boosted before, but sold the forged internals and the aftermarket goodies to return his p5 back to stock. So he gave me the block, a complete head, and all the spare parts that he had sitting in his garage. I'm not sure what's there yet as I haven't gone through the whole box. But thanks to Viral, I got a free motor in exchange for my stock p5 axle-back.
So here's the mod list so far and might give you guys an idea for what's in store for next year.
