Congrats- I just made it through my first year as a parent (today is my sons 1st b-day). Get ready to get NO sleep.

I just upgraded my alpine an got the 7894....it rocks. Much better than any kenwood I have ever had.

As for the Metalcast paint......I had to get that at AutoZone....because no one else seemed to carry it.

well it's pretty much almost always going to be next to the touch up paint and supplies....anywhere. <--Again that's if they have it.

actually I got mine from the Auto Section at Walmart.

I used some 3M trim adhesive, but they also make a 2 sided trim tape. Either will work.

I took the badges off and painted them. At the time I was thinking about painting the Upper and Lower grill a light metallic gray. The front emblem didn't turn at as good as the rear emblems. So I think I am going to sand and repaint the front....eventually. I am also thinking of painting...

While I wouldn't say that the Instruction set is inadequate...you do have to admit the 1st gen Athlons did have some problems, and perhaps that is what stef_nz was refering to.

the aem you need is 22-480 that is for the 2.0l auto as well as 1.8l
