I have an outside temperature gauge in my rearview mirror and although this seems like a silly question, I've always wondered why sometimes it will read "Ice". There seems to be no ryhme or reason - it will read "ice" at varying degrees of temperature.... it makes sense to me that it'll do it...

And here I was thinking that the deal I got wasn't that great - after hearing your hard luck story I'm considering myself lucky..... I got mine with 70,000 for $700.00 from a wrecking yard and it came with a 180 day, unlimited miles warranty. Sure hope yours ends up working for you somehow....
