    2003 Mazda Protg ES 5sp, 37K, MSP/MP3 Suspension, RB Exhaust $8,800 o.b.o. (NYC)

I think I got lucky and hit it just right. Good luck to anyone else selling their car. In case it's helpful, here are some tips which I read and followed: (1) research your asking price using Edmunds, KBB and other cars for sale in your area (2) put "or best offer" after your price so you...

    2003 Mazda Protg ES 5sp, 37K, MSP/MP3 Suspension, RB Exhaust $8,800 o.b.o. (NYC)

I got $8,500 which I think was fair. It roughly matches the Edmunds and KBB prices for this car in Excellent condition. I had probably $1500-2000 of mods which I didn't really get anything extra for but I enjoyed them while I drove it and I didn't want to remove them. I'd rather sell for a...

    2003 Mazda Protg ES 5sp, 37K, MSP/MP3 Suspension, RB Exhaust $8,800 o.b.o. (NYC)

Thanks for the support! Two other upgrades I forgot to list are: MSP front brakes (rotors, calipers, brackets and pads - approx. 1" larger diameter than OEM ES/P5 rotors) Goodridge SS brake lines.

Thanks for the kinds words. I will definitely miss this car when she's gone. There aren't many cars that offer this much fun in a 4-door sedan.

Looking for Rotary Specialist in NY/NJ Area

You may not need a complete rebuild but you might need all new seals and so you'd have the labor to take it all apart, install new seals and reassemble. If you're rebuild guy is good, he might be able to reuse some of the seals, not sure, but they may be assemble-once-then-discard type items...

Mazdaspeed Swaybar Kit - Here's more info

Just to clarify, my response above was for people who want to get the discounted Mazdaspeed Motorsports pricing. You can also get these at any Mazda dealer (or at least any dealer who sells Mazdaspeed Accessories), but the prices may be a bit higher.

Mazdaspeed Swaybar Kit - Here's more info

That is the way most all of us did it. All you have to do is go run 2 autocrosses, about $30 each, send the results to Mazdaspeed Motorsports and then you qualify for their discounts, etc. Autocrosses are fun to do on your own and the MM discounts are a bonus. You will also qualify for S-Plan...

I am jealous of your track day schedule! COM is a great club. I have been doing their Lime Rock event (Fri anyway) for the past few years. There was a black MS3 there last year. I hope to meet you and your red MS3 there this year. I'm off to the Glen for 6/18-19--can't wait!

EVO (UK car mag) Article: "Mazda 3 MPS Aero Kit"

I think Brits, and Europeans in general, are much more tolerant of (or maybe they even enjoy) stiff suspensions and better handling than us Americans. Whenever you hear "European handling," it's a good thing. "American handling"??? that's like a caddy (or an ES300 these days), cushy and...

Hey Dcomiskey: You ever run Watkins Glen? That is the best track around IMHO. About 4.5 hours from SW CT. I'm going with the NY BMW Chapter on June 18-19. If you're interested, I think they still have room and it'd be great to see some a MS3 there. If not, maybe I'll see you at Lime Rock...

Interesting article from great car mag: http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/208443/mazda_3_mps.html# I love the way the Brit car dealers customize their cars for the tastes of the local market (and car enthusiasts like us). Wish we had that here.
