I was about to mention that car myself. It was a wicked car in it's day, Mazda really has the groundwork laid down to do it again with the MS3, it'd be great to see it happen but....

2.5L 4 cyl + 300 hp/tq + FWD + no LSD = WTF? Obviously we'll have to wait until the final specs are released BY MAZDA to know for sure. If no LSD, I have zero problem keeping my 08 MS3.

Some things I like about it, and some things I don't. But if it is indeed a 2.5L with 300hp/tq I have two words for the new MS3, engine swap! Instead of busting the current 2.3L & turbo in my car with bolt-ons and not really proven tuning solutions.

My '07 has that, I believe all MS3's have that. You have to lift the carpet, I know I said lift, to see it.

This brings up a good question, are these engines interference or non-interference engines? With a timing chain instead of a belt I have to believe it's an interference design, so nice with my 92 Miata to not have to worry about bending valves if the timing belt snaps.

Here here! I don't think that's going to buff out, body/paint shop is best bet for making it look new again.
