That I have no idea about. Though when playing music from the Music App, Waze prompts come through loud and clear. They don't get cutoff by the music, the music fades and (I think) pauses as the prompt is given, then it continues.

Yes, Apple CarPlay lets you display and use Apple Maps on your infotainment screen. It does not let you use Waze or Google Maps on your infotainment screen. :( So better than nothing, but ever with it I want a phone mount up on the dash so I can run Waze and see it there.
