Powdercoating is cheap. I almost got some motorcycle rims done, and they only wanted $50 each. I bet a strut bar is less than that. Check your local phone book.

I like my Quart DSD216's. I originally got the 5x7 coaxes, but changed to the components. It was not hard to install them, and positioning the tweeter where I wanted was worth the price difference. Some people say that they are too bright, but I set the tweeter to the lowest setting and am happy.

It is really not that easy to make an adapter. Just get some 1/2" plywood, take the old speaker, trace around it on the plywood, and mark the original screw holes. Then take your new speaker and center it and trace that. Then just use a jig saw and cut them out. You will have to cut away at...
