If youre blasting thru the gears, you shouldnt ease off the clutch. Just clutch, slam, dump + gas. Judging on how soft the tranny feels, im thinking powershifting would be about the worst idea known to man.
So I had already driven one once, but it was very tame city driving and the salesperson was with me. Car was reminiscint of my MSP, so I liked it. Went for a drive today and got to fly solo. So here goes:
The porter pulled the car up, and I noticed immediately that the exhaust note was...
Ya, 205/60/16s will make your speedo off by 0.3% (on the low side). So if you drive 3000 miles on them in the winter, your mileage will actually only go up 2991. What offset do you need to fit this?
Thats what Im saying. XEDE is available, just not plug and play, and the TMIC is for sale as well. Those two alone should get you there. Someone just needs to test both on the same car!
If the XEDE unit on a stock car can hit 288whp and the TMIC is good for 20whp on a stock car, why hasnt anyone done both and showed off a 300whp dyno sheet yet? I wanna see it!
I was playing with that calculator and found that 225/60/15's will be the exact same diameter and not throw off the speedo at all. Now to find a wheel that is 15 x 7 . . .
EDIT: 15 inch wheels wont clear the brakes, will they?
18" is 18" no matter how you measure it. 16" wheel is only 88% as big, circumference-wise which is what im assuming the computer uses to calculate miles traveled. You'd rack up miles faster and your speedo would be off
Hello ladies and gents! Just wanted to say hey. I was a former MSP owner turned 2001 SOM SS owner, and that car is being sold tomorrow and Im picking up an MS3! I test drove one the other day and it was a blast and I needed something more practical, so now im in love. Anything I should look...
Any word on the release date? I dont even have an MS3 yet but I drove one and noticed the shifts were really long. Makes me love my Pro 5.0 plus short stick (first)
