Been a LONG time since I posted anything here (even longer since I actually owned a Protege), but I was cleaning out my garage the other day and I found my original P5 interior (pretty much brand new) in a box.
Story behind this: When I bought the car, my dealership was offering an...
Holy cow..2 people (besides me) actually voted. Thanks, whoever you are.
My pic is the door from a bank vault at a client of mine...built in the 1920s, the door is about 18" thick and is said to weight over 6 tons.
Where's the bypass valve in the MSP6? the MSP? I know in my car it's right next to the throttle body. I guess the final answer is "it doesn't really matter, just put it where it fits". The place you chose seems to be where just about everybody else puts it.
I agree fully with Maxx...closer to the TB seems like it would create less turbulence in the charge tubes. I suppose at the end of the day it's probably not a big deal either way.
I'm not sure if it's supposed to be really close to the throttle body, but that's where mine is. Interesting about the 2 stages of bypass...I didn't know that (I guess that's why it's called sequential, duh).
Most of the newer Husky "Market" stores have 94 octane. I know the one at 14th street and kensington, as well as the one on north McLeod trail have it. I'm waiting for everyone else to carry it so I can get some 93 octane maps going!
I've got a buddy that's got one (it's leased) and he's looking for someone to assume his lease. I don't know what year it is, but I think it's the last year of the last body style. I can get you his info if you'd like...send me an email.
I've seen this guy too...same area...Country Hills by the Co-Op in the Hamptons. I'm pretty sure it's the SLR...those big side grills are hard to miss.
I'm going to try and swing by for the silvercity part of it, anyway...I've got kid duty this afternoon and I don't really watch hockey...and I don't have a Mazda anymore.
Why am I coming again?
See you there.
