All I did to the stock Kenwood was replace the sub with a JL 8w12 @ 4 oms. ( I think? Traded the MSP in '06! Only 35k miles on it! *sigh*)

damn, can't believe it's been 10 years!! Bought my 03.5 blazing yellow mica off the showroom floor w/12 miles on it. Traded it in for a 2006 Mustang GT w/18 miles. Guy who bought my MSP totalled it 3 weeks after he bought it! :( Only had 35k miles. :(

Too bad they don't make a handheld tuner for the MSP. I could have really used one when I had mine. The SCT III tuner I have on the mustang not only reads and clears codes, but if you change wheel sizes, you hit a few keys, and it will adjust the speedo appropriately. You can do alot of...

No, it is not a common problem. Someone "fixed" your tranny and screwed up. Take it back. (that's just my opinion.).
