    Metal in oil

Nope, you are wrong on this. Synthetic oil does not have less viscosity than conventional. 5w30 synthetic has the same viscosity as 5w30 conventional oil. There are a many differences between synthetic and conventional motor oils, but viscosity is not one of them.

    New Mazda (2 me)

Welcome, and congrats on the P5! Too bad it's an auto, lol:p, but you did pick the fastest color. For starters, you should at least do the intake, header and cat-back exhaust. Unless you are planning on installing a turbo setup. Spend a little time searching around the forum, and you will...

    water in tailpipe

Damn cheaters, lol. Just kidding. They're not my favorite team, but I've liked the Pats since Steve Grogan was the QB.

    water in tailpipe

First of all, you can have a bad head gasket and NOT have coolant in your oil. I had it happen before on a Honda Prelude I used to own. The only symptoms were overheating, and when I started the engine with the radiator cap off, there were exhaust gassed coming out of the radiator. But the...

A/C Recharge Kit (worked for me!)

Never use R12 in a R134a system. They are not compatible with each other.

    P5s with dead headlights?

Yeah, they are just covering their butts with that last statement. But there is no way that anyone will get into trouble for using them. How would they find out?

    Good Buy?

I doubt that it has "Mirrors-w Turn Signals", as claimed. I don't believe any P5's came with those. They don't look like aftermarket in the picture. But it definitely sounds like a good price.

    Can't open the hood

I suggest you take it to the dealer. I had the same problem and they got it open and replaced the cable and release mechanism. It cost $75. But if you mess up the paint while trying to do it yourself it will cost much more than $75 to fix.

    B&M Replica help

My shifter had an E clip that retained the pivot bearing to the shifter shaft. It was a B&M replica, but I don't know if it is the same as yours. Yours may have the e clip on the bottom of the pivot bearing, or one on both sides. The whole shifter assembly is held into the car with a spring clip.

    B&M Replica help

Take the shifter to NAPA, or any other parts store. They usually have an E clip kit with pretty much any size you will ever need. At least ,my local NAPA did.

    Weird Problem

A CV joint will usually only go bad if the boot rips. When it rips, all the grease inside is slung out, and the joint no longer has sufficient lubrication. It also gets contaminated with dirt and moisture. And if you have been running it like that for very long, you are better off replacing...

    Weird Problem

When a CV joint wears out, it starts by making sounds only when turning the wheel all the way. It can be left or right. It can also be both directions. Did you take a look at the CV boots like I suggested? That will be an instant indication that the joint is going out.

    B&M Replica help

Probably missing the E clip. There needs to be some kind of retainer to keep the bushing from sliding. Definitely should not slide like that. I had a replica B&M for a while, and it did not slide like that. I replaced it when I found the real thing for cheap. But to tell you the truth, I...
