    P5 broken into

I wouldn't recommend buying a radio from Sporks MP5, he still hasn't shipped me the wheels and tires I paid him $300 for over a month ago. He also doesn't seem to want to return any of my emails anymore.

    How To: 2.0 Header Installation

I heard that once, but when I talked to both companies about doing the pipes on my bike, they didn't have any problems with it. Might want to research it a little more, but I think its OK.

    How To: 2.0 Header Installation

You don't powdercoat headers, they get way too hot. You can have it ceramic coated by someone like JetHot or Hyperkote, these coatings will also help dissipate the heat better.

Anyone ever think of this for the P5?

I was wrong about the motor options, the current Passat (US Version) gets either a V6 or W8, but either of those could handle the trailer as well. This is not a US version though as it's very obvious he's in a different country (plates, signs, house in background), so they might have a...

Anyone ever think of this for the P5?

It's not a chop, and the car is a Passat wagon. With the front subframe and motor gone, and all the other stuff that is no longer needed, the trailer wouldn't be that heavy. I can't tell if the interior is intact or not, but if not, that would be a lot more weight gone. Also, consider he's...

Anyone ever think of this for the P5?

The P5 can handle a small trailer (bike or jetski), but its not recommended. It doesn't have tint up front because its an exact mimic of the tow vehicle, also hence the exhaust tip. As far as the axle placement, that would put alot of weight on the hitch, either he's got helper airbags in the...

    Wagner 2.0 N/A Header Installed!

The stock downpipe has one of the catalytic converters built into it, you can order the Wagner piece with or without it. I opted to eliminate the first, and keep the second cat that's in the midpipe. If you have emissions testing wherever you are, you'll need to keep both of them more than...

Anyone ever think of this for the P5?

I think its cool as hell! The car was probably smashed in the front, and it was just a natural place to chop it at. All they had to do was remove the front subframe, weld up a hitch and smooth the firewall.

    Wagner 2.0 N/A Header Installed!

The flange they sell is for people wanting to built there own custom header or turbo manifold. These headers are prebuilt using that flange. (the flange is the flat part that bolts to the block) I can't wait for mine to come in, I also got the downpipe w/o cat!

    aftermarket TB

I understand what you're saying, and it does make logical sense. With a larger opening, its going to be harder to regulate small changes in thottle position. I simply speak from experience, maybe due to my old truck being a 4.0 V6, and really needing the extra air, that I never noticed a...

    aftermarket TB

I'm not sure on the losing drivability part, I didn't notice any negative effects on my old Paxton S/C'd Ford Ranger when I added the larger TB.

    auto tranny WTF?

With a limited slip you don't want to mix sizes, but it should be fine with an open diff. That's also total BS about not putting the spare on the front!

    aftermarket TB

I hope you're kidding with this quote. It has nothing to do with how many psi you're pushing, it has to do with how much air you can flow in and out of the motor and how fast you can do it. By opening up your intake and exhaust on a F/I car, you might actually lose a bit of boost, but you're...

    fog lamps

You don't want to remove that cover, it causes the light that would shine forward to be directed back to the reflector where it is directed down and to the sides, right where foglights should shine. Removing it would probably cause a very bright spot right in the middle of the beam, blinding...

    anyone GUT their cat?

If I recall correctly, the 3rd Gen's exhaust is just slightly over 2". As far as gutting your cat is concrerned, if you really want to get rid of it, do it properly. Weld in a section of pipe to replace the entire thing, or if you need it for a visual inspection, cut open the case, gut it, then...
