what was your first car?

my first car is the one i have now ..
2001 Protege ES 2.0 .

but then again i am only 16 and just got the car just a week ago.

My first car was a 1972 VW beetle.
Had it seven months and was sandwiched between a Plymouth Arrow in front and a Ford pick-up truck in the rear.
If it hadn't been totalled the engine would have had to have been re-built.
I used to scare the sh** out of my friends when I drove.

This was my first car, 1998 continental. factory subwoofer, 4.6L engine, all the options. I bought it from my parents for like $2500

This was the first vehicle I owned though, got it when I was 14 for $100. 1979 honda cb400

I just bought my first mazda last thursday, a 1999 protege dx/lx for $1700. I'll hopefully have pictures up today

1997 Camry 5-speed V6, bought it for $2500 at a estate sale with 100k on it, drove it for 2.5 years and 80k miles later, then sold it for the 6.

First vehicle was a '95 Nissan Pickup XE. It was automatic but I loved driving it anywhere I could and I especially enjoyed taking it down gravel roads. I felt like that truck was an extention of my body while driving and I don't recall it ever going anywhere I didn't want it to (as goofy as that might sound). Unfortunately the transmission went out and I figured it wouldn't be worth $2000 to repair it so it wound up scrapped somewhere. :(

i had a 1973 Porsche 914. it was ugly, and expensive to maintain, but i did not care. it had dual webber carbs and a bursche exhaust and sounded so sweet. it handled like no other. this isn't my 914 in the pic, but pretty close.

86 teg motor/trans with dual weber 40mm dcoe carbs, lightspeed 4-2-1 header, full exhaust, lightened flywheel, tokico illuminas, 15x7 wheels, (forgot the name) lightspeed sways front and rear, lightspeed torsion bars and springs, autopower roll bar, 4 point schroth harness, window visors, and a bunch of other stuff I cant remember. lol
funny, when I did this swap back in the 80's, I got totally laughed at. now almost every honda out there has some swap done. lol

My first protege was a 91 lx i bought as a cheap beater had hail damage and high miles. After diving it gave me a new respect for a fwd and it was faster then my brothers civic.

1996 Geo Metro LSI. I beat the living crap out of it, yet, it just kept going. I've since become nicer to my vehicles. :D

First car that I bought...

1983 Honda Accord LX hatch. 4th and 5th gear were blown out, but it's how I learned to drive a manual, and how to control e-brake slides on grass.

First car that I registered and drove on the street...

1983 VW Rabbit diesel. Slow, smelly, 4 different colors, which I then painted with spray paint, but damn did I love that thing.
