Upcoming Recall - Mazda5 Sliding Door Latches

I got mine done yesterday. I dropped it off a little before 8am and it was done before noon.

I don't have it back yet though - today they are fixing the rear swaybar and bushings to stop the crunching noise when cold out.

That's kinda what I was thinking.

I've always been under the impression that the dealer service people have access to information that would allow a dyslexic infant to do a complete teardown and rebuild of the entire vehicle.

Actually the recall states that we WILL break some clips and they will be covered. That being said, even following TO THE LETTER the recall's instructions on how to disassemble the door panels, we're still breaking clips here and there.
And today we had the above mentioned lock problem.
I think a majority of the problem is the recall pays the techs very little and they try to get it done in a resonable amount of time. Hell, they even broke stuff on MY 5, but they're covering it, and I get to sell more parts :D

I have the same problem with "silverm5"
They perform the recall but now my driver side sliding door won't lock.
If I open it using the remote or the unlock button, the door will unlock.
But if you try to lock the car, that door must be manually lock.
Still waiting for parts....
