NEMOC Random BS Thread

I didn't have to. Had a PTO marked down for that day anyway as Kaila was going to get her wisdom teeth taken out. Since Tam starts her new gig on the 28th and will have better benes than I, we bumped the surgery back to May. So I just kept the day off to work on it and took the Miata to get the new tires mounted. This new system is tedious as well and we have had no roll out so to speak. They sent out an email with a link and within the link it says the best way to figure things our are to click links within and search. You can only watch videos once, at least we haven't figured out how to watch them a second time so it's crazy and due by the 31st. The Company is shut down between the 25th and 1st so I might work on it from home and get it in just in time. lol

My benes are now done through ADP this year. What a pain that was. And since our direct deposit is through ADP you'd think we'd have one central site with one username and pw to access both. Nope! So frustrating.

I do my benefits now through ADP as well. But since I was keeping the same insurance I didnt have to touch anything.

Currently Im trying to get my friend in CT to send my winter wheels out here using freight from my old job to the new one. In Seattle I dont need the tires at all but most of the mountains where the skiing is arent plowed as well. Buying a new set of tires would be a waste since Im upgrading the car in the spring/summer. Looking very forward to car buying again, its such fun!

Merry Christmas to all my mazda and non mazda peeps! Be safe! off to NC for a week and dropping off robin for her winter nanny duties...now i'm back in the garage with all my winter msm projects!

Merry Christmas!

No traveling for us except a party down in Mass this evening. Been ordering parts here and there for the truck. Gotta wait a few months for some key parts but I can get started on wiring and interior work now.

Merry Christmas to my NEMOC friends! Safe travels to anyone on the road to see family. We just watched A Christmas Story and now watching Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. We have a short drivr across town to Tamz parents in the morning to celebrate.

Yay for winter projects. Im off next week and plan on changing oil in the Miata. Maybe winter will see a rollbar install?!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Hopefully you won't see any ice storms down South this year Bruce!

Got a Fandango gift card from neighbors for watching their dog awhile ago and today I finally used it. Just got back from seeing the new Star Wars movie in Imax 3D. Wow!!! Great movie and my first Imax experience. I was impressed, not something I'd splurge to see just any movie in but for certain ones I def. will in the future.

Happy new year to everyone. Moved from Pensacola to Ft Myers yesterday. Had a slight issue with the trailer wiring in Mia. Turned out to be a bad ground wire which a helpful camper in the park helped fix so I was able to hit the road. Left just in time as the temps were dropping in Pensacola.

Still need to replace the tstat, ordering one from MazdaMotorsports, hoping it will arrive in time before my next autox on Jan 10.

Also bought a dual hitch extender for the rig and moved the bike rack from the car to the rig when we are on the road.

happy new year friends!

I spent christmas and new years in Frankfurt with girlfriend and family. It was okay overall. Due to the holidays everything was closed most of the time, and everyone just spoke German around me so I sat quietly and played cribbage on my phone. Next time I go out there it will definitely be for the summer so I can see some more castles! Below are a few pics from the trip, could post a link to an album later.

Came home to the alternator being frozen on the p5 so I am waiting for a replacement to come in (tomorrow) and Ill throw it in this weekend. In the mean time ive been driving a 2003 forester 2.5X. Really enjoying it, may end up buying it off gf's mom since I think she wants to sell it.

hey Mahk, how does this scene look from Sunday out here :)

Wow look at all that snow!!!

Replaced the tstat to hopefully fix the engine running a tad warm. Also replaced the belt and idler pulley.

Ran another autox on Sunday in Lehigh Acres FL. Huge airport facility sporting a mile autox. Finished 1st in STR, group of 6 cars, waiting to findout how I did overall.

Hey Kyle that looks like a winter wonderland ! Where was that taken? So far we've only got an inch or two of snow, but that's what happened last winter, then bam! We got hit with one bad storm after another! Next winter I should be in NC so I'll not have to deal with any of the crap!
On another note i'll Be starting the tranny swap this weekend, should be fun!!!!![emoji51]

Ooooooh.. A lava!!

I'm doing a multi-day project for work so I'm in Foxboro. Wandered up to Patriot Place in the snow last night. One of the watering holes there was doing $1 burger night. So that worked out.

Still torn on having my winter set up sent out here. Tires are about shot and it would cost $75 to ship them, but then I would have the wheels for new snow tires. Just not sure how long the p5 will live and dont want to waste the money on new tires if they arent much needed.

Pic was taken at Snoqualmie Summit out here, about an hour away from my house. Then you leave the mountain and drive out 15 miles and you get this

Didn't think you got much snow there?

If you don't get much snow then get AS's.

Tstat replacement did the trick. Temps are back down to normal. Changing the tstat was not easy, hidden under the throttle body, which had to be removed. Not the easy swap back in the old days.

We get zero snow in Seattle where I live or commute to 15 miles north. All the snow is in the mountains where I go skiing, but they are close. I should be fine on all seasons, just it's everyone else. When I see a prius on the road I try and get as far away as possible. Washington drivers are the absolute worst!
