Any photographers in here?

THe angle of the sword is not good. It also looks like it's got a dull edge etc. There really isn't a nice focus on it. Not as sharp anyways. It would've been better if you focused on the sword's tip not the flat part of the blade.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Good effort though. You learn through experimenting.

I'm imagining what people would say if I posted the exact same photos but they were taken in today's environment... a tour bus in NYC, and two dudes in a miata... not too interesting...

It's definitely not HDR, although, I think the earliest HDR photos were being taken around the same time.

Two new shots from today. Tons of rust :]

Those 100 year old Russian shots are so damn cool. I love old/historical photos. Anyone have any other cool links like that? Haha.

I really liked this. I can't believe those were shot that long ago! They look better than a lot of pictures shot today!

As requested, one without the line, focused from the other direction. I should have raised the f# just a hair to get all of the "M" in focus. Oh well, can redo it later!

(wet)Sand it and paint it again, with 2-3 very thin coats... I dont want to be a jerk, but it's starting to bother me ;)

I kinda like DOF on this one, but I like it more because it reminds me of the summer ;)
