Tire alignment & uneven tire ware

If you set the rear toe to zero, it will greatly reduce wear on the inside edge. I run more camber than factory, but still have even tire wear, mainly due to having rear toe set to zero, and running a quality tire. I am using Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's in the summer. Also, the quality of tire...

    MazdaSpeed CAI

The Mazdaspeed unit has an alluminum shield to protect it from water (and check engine lights), the AEM unit does not. I have had both on my car, the Mazdaspeed unit is much better. It may be made by AEM, but it is not the same as the one sold by AEM.

    Snow tires for Mazda 3?

If I were you, and only wanted to run one set of tires year round, and you drive in snow, about the ONLY tire I would consider is Nokian WRG2 or WR. Both of these are about the only all-season tire that are rated for winter use...

    MS3 Exhaust

You should look at the car in question before giving advice on how to work on it. The MZ3 exhaust has only one flange, and that is where the manifold bolts to the exhaust, right by the engine.

    Corksport exhaust too loud....

Well, I have decided to finally get off my ass and do something about this. I decided to order a catalytic converter to replace the removed cat. This should have three benefits, first, make the exhaust street legal again, reduce the amount of noise, and make the exhaust cleaner. (I am also a...

    215/45's on OEMs?

I don't know of any 215/45's that will fit on the stock width of rim. Check the specs of any tire you are thinking of purchasing.

    Corksport exhaust too loud....

Unfortunately, it is way too big for the CS exhaust. The CS also has a baffled tip so the exhaust would end up just going around the silencer.

    Corksport exhaust too loud....

I wish Tanabe made an exhaust for our cars. I used to have one on one of my old Integras and it sounded incredible, and at steady cruise of 120-130 it was as quiet as stock, and only hard acceleration was it louder than stock. I am thinking of maybe picking up a 5Zigen exhaust instead of...

    Power Steering leak coming from..??

Check your passenger side engine mount, it has probably lost all it's fluid. You will have to replace the mount to fix it.

    Corksport exhaust too loud....

I have a Corksport exhaust on my 05 MZ3 Sport and find it way too loud for everyday use. It really drones at highway speeds and I am tired of sounding like a ricer in city traffic. I have even lined the trunk with dynamat to try and cut down the drone, but it helped only slightly. Has anybody...

Front brake dust shields for 05 Mazda3 Sport

Well, I finally got around to installing the front dust sheilds. Having both of my front wheel bearings go at the same time convinced me to finally pull off the front brakes and do it..... In summary. YES!!!! You CAN install the front brake dust shields from an 07 Mazda3 on your earlier...

    Torque Specs

That is not the spindle nut, the spindle nut is on the end of the axle in the middle of the wheel bearing hub. It sounds like you are talking about the pinch bolt at the bottom of the strut, the torque spec for that bolt is: 40-54 lb.ft Upper strut top bolts: 14.1-20.5 lb.ft Center strut top...

    2004 mazda3 front wheel bearings

Quick question, I am doing the front wheel bearings on my 05 Sport this afternoon and forgot to bring my service manual in to work. My car uses the bolt for the wheel bearing (as apposed to the spindle nut I have seen on other 3's (sedans only?)) Anybody have the torque spec handy for the BOLT...

    Opinions on exhaust

You are not rotating your tires properly or often enough.

    mazda3 tires

You did the right thing. The higher load rating would have caused your car to pull due to the stiffer sidewall of the one tire. You must match the load rating to the other tires.

    u, me, & my staggered wheels :: 18x8/18x9 ** lots o pics

Because the car already understeers badly from the factory. Increasing the amount of grip in the rear more than the front will just make that worse. So now his balance is even further off. And somebody mentioned fwd racecars that have wider tires in the rear...(but they seem to have edited...
