    Benefits of Class D amp

class D is more efficent like servo said. but they dont sound as good. for a sub they work great. you can not even tell the difference.

    Boston Acoustics

IMO metal tweets are way better. I agree if they are cheap speakers the metal tweets can sound like s***, but if you get a nice set of speakers the metal tweets are so clear and defined. they are amazing. I will use my focal utopias for an example. they sound awesome. not to bright at all...

    Polk/MOMO 6 3/4" component speakers

I agree. I liked my speakers so much I did not even check to see what would fit in my doors. I had not discovered this website when I did my install. I just took the door panel off and knew I was going to make them fit no matter what. and knew the trouble would be worth it cause I love my...

    P5 sound system questions

I hate to sound like a broken record. but you might want to check the 1000 audio challenge in the sticky section. there are alot of systems in there that are nice prices. the reason servo asked for a price is cause that lets us know what to suggerst. if you want to spend 500 that is alot...

    Polk/MOMO 6 3/4" component speakers

You could always sell the components that you have and put the money toward some braxial components. CDT has some. the tweet is already mounted on the mid. easy to install. not cheap to buy. http://www.cdtaudio.com/Classic_Braxial.htm the cl63 series is the 6.5's. your other option is got...

    Polk/MOMO 6 3/4" component speakers

that is basically what I did also. made an adapter that would bring the speaker away from the winder. I then also had to trim my door panel. same as servo did. plus the adapter not only moves the speaker out, but it makes it so you can but a round speaker in an oval hole. I also have pics...

Got my eD 10a.22 sub today!

yeah.. just break it in like that (4ohms). then when you want to hook it up for more power you can hook the coils up in parallel for your 1ohm load. not sure how the kenwood amp works, but my JL you can just use the 2 outputs to hook the coils up in parallel. or you can just hook the coils up...

Got my eD 10a.22 sub today!

you say the amp has 2 outputs. if you bridge the amp I cant see it being 1ohm stable. bridge the amp and run it at 4ohms. I am going to correct ya: wiring them in series you will get a 4ohm load, correct, but you will bridge the amp, not just run it off one channel. One coil does give...

Got my eD 10a.22 sub today!

so do you have a 2channel amp or is it mono. you dont want to hook up just one voice coil.. that is why you are getting that rubbing sound. hook the coils up in series. hook the amp to one positive. then hook the negative from the amp to the other vc. hook the left over pos and neg...

HOLY $h!T Power up front is GOOD

I got rid of both the plastic stuff and the foam that is on the door panel. it goes inside the big hole in the door. and I covered all the holes up with edead. if you do the inside of the door you will see what I mean. the foam block will not go in there. the foam inside the door I left. I...
