well i officially got a job offer in NYC meaning the odds of me doing CF work again went from 15% to 0%. time to sell it.
this is 95% of what you would need to start making your own CF. you would need a couple things -- like safety gear, acetone, and maybe some more sandpaper.
here's a list of everything included, and a relative condition of it. brand new, this stuff was about $400-500 + shipping.
Vac System stuff:
60" Vac Bag Film - 3yd?
Vac Tape - 1.5 roll
Vac Pump - started as a bicycle pump but was converted to pull vacuum. works quite well, pulls about 18inHg.
aquarium fill
aquarium line (20 feet?) and check valve
jar/towel - put in vac bag to help maintain vacuum
vac bag fitting
Sandpaper Stuff:
2x sheets 1000 grit
5x sheets of 2000 grit (brand new)
3/4 tube glazing compound/putty
Hand Tools:
3x 1" brush (2 brand new)
3x 2" brush
1x 3 or 4" brush (brand new)
rolling tool - could use a cleaning
2" bondo spreader
3-4" bondo spreader
spare kitchen shears
black china marker - used to mark up fiberglass
white crayon - helps with marking CF
2x mil gauges
Resin/Mixing:
~35 med-large graduated mixing cups - measure as you pour. great stuff.
~50 mixing sticks
2x buckets - one for acetone storage, one for wet sanding
3 or 4 syringes - two are graduated
azox catalyst - a bunch
.5 quart partall PVA
spray/mist bottle
polyester resin - half gallon or so
105/207SA west systems epoxy kit w/pumps - CRAZY expensive. half used at most.
black pigment (opened but barely used)
mold release wax - meguiars #8
Fabric
~3 yd. CF - 2x2 twill, 3k, barely used.
~1' heavyweight plain weave fiberglass
1.5 yd. 60" peel ply
2 yd 60" lightweight fiberglass mat (brand new)
~5yd 60" heavyweight fiberglass mat
Etc. / Other
waxed mirrors - good as a flat, nonstick surface, or to make sheets
plasticine-type clay - good for molding and plugs
forceflex trash bags - wont stick to resin
I'm looking to get $275 + S&H for everything. I'm not looking to part this out yet so please don't ask. I'd gladly answer questions about what i have for sale, but i'm not going to answer questions like "you can make your own CF? how?" unless you've already paid me a deposit. take a look at pics of everything here
thanks for looking...
