Winter tire questions

Ive been told that an 02 Protege 5 can handle as low as a 14in steel wheel for winter tires (with something like 1/8in clearance)
Im looking to put a set of 15in steel wheels on and would just like a confirmation that the 02 Protege 5 (sold in Canada-if that makes a diff) can handle a 15in steel wheel.

As long as you're using stock brakes, 15" wheels will fit. CTt3P5 is running 14" steel wheels from a Mitsubishi eclipse on his car for winter use.
