Who loves their msp

Yeah the MSP is a backroad burner for sure, not a straight line car.

I mean the damn thing was tuned in the mountains, on backroads, that's what it was built for. And it does a damn good job at it.

I can't tell you how many people in "sports cars" I've embarrassed that couldn't stay with me for two or three turns.

I have had my car for about a year and have just started to play with it.
This is one of the best cars, I have ever owned ,fun to drive handles like a dream, gets good gas milage and lots and lots of looks !!!!!!!

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Just got new rims and pretty much have an orgasm every time I look at it. Still havent gotten used to walking out and seeing them. Suprises me every time!

I just ordered my new rims today!! Glad u like urs!! I Also ordered the HiBoost FMIC. Sold my beloved Integra to hook up my MSP!! Was gonna buy a CAI but I live in Florida (floods) so I'm just gonna have my boy make me an aluminum pipe with a hole for the IAT. I got my MSP last Saturday and am already hooked!! (After I learned of the quirks I knew what to expect and am ready to start my MSP career!!) Im an ASE tech that has been buildin Hondas for over a decade. I need a new challenge. After all, my boy once told me, "Honda's are like tampons, every pussys got one." Even though I came from Hondas im an import lover and gotta say that's a good line!!

I get the same thing. When I see the car from certain angles it is stunning.:D

I love the front 3/4 view, especially.

I recent found out in a pretty convincing way just how much I love my MSP ... I blew the motor back in February, and it took 6 months to get a built block put back in. During those 6 months I drove a 1999 Ford Escort!!!! Yikes! When I got the engine back in and fired it up, it was like I had just bought the car ... I'd forgotten just how nice that car is in so many ways.

I def. agree with the front 3/4 view ... I turn around and look back at my car every morning when I get to work and am walking up to the office.

Ahh yes the 3/4 that is indeed a good view, expecially when you cut the wheel and park crooked taking up 3 spots all action stance at work...... good times...... I look out the window far too often to see that sexy beast lol.

I know what you mean about the escort too! my car was down for a day just in getting an alignment (Big ordeal getting it on the lift btw) I had to drive my moms 32 WHP cavalier for a day...... OMG I wanted to kill myself, I don't know how I'm gonna last all winter without my baby.

Ahhh how i love Florida!!! All winter does is make it run better!!

It's not too bad though, gives you time to rip out and forge engines and do all that stuff you can't when you're daily driving it. Usually pay less insurance to if you take it off your good car and put it on say a 91 accord lx winter beat. The best part is in the spring when everyone busts out their good cars again and you fall in love all over again, especially if you've been modding it all winter.

Actually..... the best part is smashing into snowbanks and ebrake sliding every corner smashing into your friends $300 beaters and laughing together....... Yup can't do that stuff with the nice cars!! Save money on brakes too if you never use them and jsut slam into snowbanks to stop.

I got my MSP about 2 years ago and loved it ever since its just been pissing me off recently cuz things are starting to break on it one after another and doesnt give me a chance to mod. but I still love it especially the body and color cuz I got the spicy orange MSP.

Spicy is not my cup of tea, but it is definitely a catching and interesting color. My buddy wanted one, but the dealership only had black left in stock.

greasemonkey524, with all those mods you should be getting over 200whp. Maybe you're in need of some engine management, or maybe it was the dyno?

Well it was on a Mustang Dyno. Hopefully come spring time I'd like to get it on a Dynojet to see those numbers. I do need to get tuned for my fuel mods. The Unichip hasn't been adjusted for those yet. I'm expecting around the 215/220 mark on the Dynojet (fingers crossed).

only thing you have that I don't have on the car yet is the fuel rail and pump, but I am doing pump and injectors very soon once I get the MS runnign and get into tuning. Anyways I put down 213/210 on dynojet before the thunder install, I put less after the install but the car is running super rich and robbing me of some power. a/f were around 11 for the 213 pull and pegged at 9.1-2 for the lower pull after the mani install. So you shold see 215 for sure. I also have Vibrant exhaust and not GLH, but still have an ecutout.

I also have 440 injectors laying around the house somewhere so hopefully I'll be able to get them in this winter and get tuned again. I know I have to send the chip out because OF COURSE no one around here tunes the darn thing! Such a bummer. Do you know if the cut-out hurts performance? I heard it does but I would think it would help the turbo spool quicker.

I made 1 more HP with it open one time and 2 less HP with it open another time, I really don't think it matters unless there is a cat after the dump and you're by passing that when it's open. I have no cats so no real gain to doing it. i just love the way it sounds rolling through a parking garage setting off every alarm in the place. Plus cruising through parking lots where all you hear is the turbo spinning gets some looks. Back fires are louder too. i use it open when i autox just mainly for effect. It rattles the window in the timing trailer. (glare)

It does sound great! Pretty much every time I take the car out I leave it open. It's always turning heads then. I try to make it backfire just as I'm pulling up to a light. It does pop pretty good. The turbo noise is definetly more noticeable to. Just giving it light throttle that thing whistles like crazy. Even if it doesn't help much performance wise it does sound sweet.

Oh, I feel your pain. I'm in the exact same situation -- 440 injectors and a Unichip sitting my my closet. There's two places that're within driving distance (AKA, about 2 hours) from where I live, but .. as of the moment, I can't afford how long it'd take to have it both tuned and thrown on the dyno. Sigh.

The way you've talked before it doesn't seem like you'd have much time either with your schedule. I know it's going to make a world of difference with the better tune and that's what bothers me the most. Is the unichip you have now completely un-tuned? Have you tried it out at all?

I sent it out to JDM Sam once, but then he asked me to send it back to fix some minor quirks that he belatedly realized had happened. But I never did send it back to him, cause I then decided that I would really like to have it tuned in person. Mike (kicker22705) lives nearby, and he goes down to a shop in Maryland -- and he says they do great work, and have tuned MSPs with Unichips. So I'm saving up money (veeeeeeeeery slowly) to head down to that shop, because a tune in person is always better -- not that Sam doesn't do a good job, but y'know what I mean.

So since the tune in the Unichip now isn't quite right, I didn't want to risk installing it. I'm determined to have the injectors put on, the Unichip installed, one tune, and dyno runs all done at the same time .. and then my MSP will be pretty much complete.
