Can I use Valvoline MaxLife DEX/MERC ATF in place of dex ii ?

You can use any ATF that meets the correct rating for the car. Replacement will do nothing but help for longevity, and I have also read the auto's love to burn up the fluid so changing is a good idea. I am an Amsoil dealer, so I run Signature Series ATF. Shifts like a dream. Its pricey, but any good quality ATF should be fine.
