wherer is the ecu of my 2008 mazda6?

i need to find my ecm so i can hook up a device from work

Do you mean where is your OBD 2 port located?

I can only speak to the MS3, but for us the ECU is attached to the left side fo the battery box. But I don't know how you can "hook up a device" to it. That would be typically attached to the OBD 2 port. The port on the MS3 is on the lower left side of the dash, to the left of the steering wheel and close to where the hood release is located.

it is located on the battery tray. on the outside near the motor. see the two big connectors. thats it You ahve found your ecu. Mine is in a box with the stock battery and the cp-e. MSMS3 is correct, most "devices" will connect to the obd port by your left knee!
