What "mode" for snow/ice? TCS or... (2019 CX-5)

I remember seeing something here a while back but can't remember the replies. My wife will be driving our 2019 CX-5 some tomorrow in snowy/rainy conditions. I know under the lower, left edge of the instrument panel, (left of steering wheel), there are 2 buttons. One turns off "TCS" and the other, inboard of that, turns off the warning for getting too close to center line or fog line. I've often turned the latter off when driving on deserted, narrow, 2-lane roads. TCS I used to turn off and on but can no longer recall why.
One of those two, was said to be better for snowy driving......either off or on.......what have I forgotten?
Thanks, Dennis in E WA state

The TCS button turns traction control off. This can be useful if you're stuck in snow or mud. It will not help to make driving in the snow easier. In fact it can make regular driving more dangerous for inexperienced drivers. Best not to use it unless she gets stuck.
