What have you done to your P5 today?

Brand new OE front lower control arms + tie rod ends and Megan Racing rear adjustable arms showed up today! Cant wait to get everything in the car so I can get rid of all the clunk in ALL 4 corners due to worn out factory bushings and ball joints! Cannot wait to get all of these in the car and actually be able to align the stupid thing myself!!!

Nice!! Where'd you get the rear arms?

Those links look great! Brings back memories.
I just tightened my front rear Megan link as it came loose just a bit. All quiet now.
Also found out that noise when I turn my steering wheel was the BC end links. Found some old AWR front links and now no more noise. Glad it was an easy fix. However the steering is really light now. Not sure how I like that...

Some pics because bored.

Nice stance. Did you have to pull the rear fenders to get the wheels under them?

Thanks man. Yes they were pulled out a lot from my prior set up so these wheels fit much better. Only rubs a little on really big bumps. Drives great. Not as low as before either so I can enter just about any driveway head-on haha

Replaced my HID lights because the "detailer" at my work sprayed my engine bay and killed one of the ballasts =( I had 55W 600k Kensun kit and replaced it on accident with Opt7 35w 6000k kit. Its definitely not as bright as the last kit, but I'm thinking about getting another 55w 6000k kit for my high beams.....

I've got Opt7 55W 6000k low beams. The warm up time is kind of annoying, as they come on at like 10% brightness, but once they're at 100 they light up the road pretty well.
However, I put 60W leds in my truck and they are just AMAZEBALLS! I'm really considering getting a set for the P5 too- no warm up time, pure white, less current draw, longer life, priced about the same as 55W HIDS- there's really no downside

Cleaned up the P-wagon today and took it for a nice long drive. Noticed one of the roof rack supports is loose, looks like a broken tab, so now I HAVE to get those rack deletes installed.

I was reading and watching a lot of videos earlier about how the LED don't throw light as far as the HIDs do.. I live in the middle of no where Oklahoma and the roads get pretty dark. I also feel like the HID catch reflections more (signs and animal eyes). Its a toss up though for sure..

Which specific ones do you have in your truck and do they seem to project just as far?

HIDS do seem to have more glare, i.e. catching reflections. But as far as length of beam, I don't think there's really any difference, it depends more on the headlight's reflector. I had to readjust the low beam angle on my truck after I put the LEDS in because everyone was flashing me. Don't cheap out if you buy LEDS, buy bulbs that give a 360deg (or close) beam angle. Some LEDS only have a 30-50deg angle, the reflectors won't catch much of that

I got mine off eBay, the exact item is no longer available. They were listed as 60W 7200lm, and honestly, they project just as far as the halogen high beams on the truck, but brighter and with a much wider angle

Ps, the high beams are pretty crap tho, the reflector is small and doesn't seem to spread the light very well

brittle plastic. fun times. anyone know if it'll cause roof leaks if i removed these plastic covers completely?

Ouch. All the plastics on my P5 are busted as well, and trying to get used ones from the JY is impossible as they are all broken/break when removing as well. Can't wait to get it running and pull the rack off!

As long as the brackets remain in place it shouldn't leak. You can seal the holes with silicone if you remove them, or better yet silicone and a nut/bolt.

OEM wheels for the win!!!

Hey all, this is my first post on the forum but I've been going through the threads for a few weeks since I got my p5. Anywho I have been refinishing the OEM wheels as an alternative to after markets over the last few weekends, and I just finished the final rim and personally quite impressed at how clean they look. But let me know what you guys think once I add the photos, gotta get to my PC to upload them.

P.S. the guy I bought the car from acid washed the wheels, that's why they where so bad.

Edit: Here is the photos, got pics of them with original center cap and with it painted.
