What have you done to your P5 today?

Bam!

Umm, Congrats...

If you were going for a super clean looking car with flurossent Pink Rims... Then that is the niceset one I have ever seen!

I had a silver P5 that I swapped a KL into. But rust was eating it to pieces so I put the KL in my DD Milly (which i bought for $650 with a blown head gasket) and sold the shell. The black P5 is my new project car for a boosted KL with around 13psi. Should be a hoot to build. :)

Shae, she looks so weird without the pink wheels. haha

^Definitely better with the pink wheels.

Speaking of rust ... I drove my grandmother home yesterday, she said "oh, we're taking the cancermobile?".

I could only laugh at that, the rust is getting pretty bad. Luckily I should have a new car at the end of the month that way I'll have something to drive while I attempt to fix-up the P5. Everyone keeps telling me to get rid of it, but it's just too fun to drive :)

Started getting LED's in the mail. I have already changed my license plate bulbs with white led's. Got my map lights replaced with white led's. Just waiting on the dome light to come in. After this, I have plans to replace the trunk/hatch light, and then whatever I can with the tail lights.

I did that too Jdm all I'm waiting is to pay for the Jdm tails so I can get them here :) and for msp lip to get here along with my new shift boot

Now that my power is back on...

I had to give my tires a "flat treatment" today. I thought I had a bad valve stem, but it turns out, the idiot that owned the car before me didn't clean the alloy rims properly before mounting the tires. SO... corrosion built up and I spent 10 minutes with a die grinder cleaning up ONE wheel. The other 3 were ok, but I cleaned them up anyways.

Other than that, I finally re-routed my iPod into my glove box and topped off my washer fluid. She needs a bath though when this semester is over.

Lastly, I have been searching and searching for JDM tails... where the hell can I find them?

Filled her with gas and attempted to wash but rain clouds started to roll in. Saw another p5 iny area which surprised me but I don't think they're on the site.

Hey JDM, what % tint are on your tails?

my Racing Harts are on!
powder coated speedboat silver and black (nail polish) lettering
running 215/45/17 and lowered on Progress springs and KYB's (about 1.8 drop)

BUT i rub. i drove around the block right now and when cornering a little bit faster then usual, i rub in the front.
rears seem fine (il check on it in a week)
im not a super huge fan of the fact that it did get lifted off the floor a bit more with the taller tires but thats not too much of a big deal.
i dont think rolling the front fenders will do that much. if i have to hold back on cornering then i actually dont think im going to be able to keep thses which would be a shame considering all the work and time i've put into them.
any suggestions? i know im not the only one running this setup

^I don't have an answer to your question, I just want to say that your P5 looks great! I like that the wheels fill the arches almost perfectly (especially in the back), I'd call it "tastefully lowered" :)

How much camber are you running? From the pic you look almost like you're in the positives. Get an alignment with your new set up, ask for the max negative. I think stock set up like you are running it's 1 or a little more. That should help. Though it's weird, with how high it is still it shouldn't be even remotely an issue, so I'm not 100% positive. Do you have any more details on the rub noise?

Picked up these babies the other day. Nothing special or anything.....

actually i got an alignment right after doing the suspension. and i know the rubbing is from the tire hitting the fender in the front. im going to roll the fenders next week (maybe even try to pull them out a little) and see if that helps at all... but i've never heard of anyone rubbing up front before considering they are msp wheels and the factory size tire.

Factory tire size for the MSP. The P5 factory 195/50/16 is equivalent to a 215/40/17, so you are actually using a taller tire than stock.

^isnt the P5 front end identical to MSP though?
btw, your setup looks amazing.... any rubbing up front? >.<

Yes it is. Thanks! And of course there is rubbing lol, but I never push my car with those wheels on. All my fenders have no paint on the inside edge.
